Meet Dr. Philip Chang

A native Virginian, Dr. Philip J. Chang received his undergraduate education from the University of Virginia, graduating with a B.S. in Biology. He then went on to Philadelphia, PA to complete his dental education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. During his time in Philadelphia, Dr. Chang received the American Association for Dental Research Travel Grant Award, and presented his research in microbiology at the 2016 AADR Annual Meeting. Dr. Chang also completed an Endodontic Externship at Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Following dental school, Dr. Chang continued his education at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where he received an M.S. in Dental Science as well as a Certificate in Endodontics. Dr. Chang’s research to complete his Master’s degree examined the effect of common and novel sealers on the fracture loading forces of natural tooth structure which was accepted to present at the 2020 American Association of Endodontists Meeting.

Dr. Chang is a Specialist Member of the American Association of Endodontists and a member of the American Dental Association, Northern VA Dental Society, Penick Endodontic Study Club and Maimonides Dental Society. Outside of the office, Dr. Chang enjoys spending time with his friends and family. Dr. Chang is also a fitness enthusiast, loves music, and an avid DC sports fan.
